Amy Foeller - PSPI Treasurer
Amy's interest in the financial world began with an elective high school accounting course. Who would've thought debits and credits could be so exciting? Diving into the accounting realm as a career was a no-brainer, and Amy quickly built up her skill set on the job. Her first years after earning her accounting degree were filled with entry-level bookkeeping positions that provided solid corporate experience in multi-state and national commerce. She then transitioned to the office manager role at a local small business, rapidly expanding her duties to include bookkeeping, payroll, HR, project management, job costing, high-level financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for over 12 years.
With a goal to combine her passion for anything numbers-related and her desire to guide other small business owners on their path to success, Amy founded The CFO Service, a firm that provides CFO advisory services to small businesses across the US. As an entrepreneur herself, Amy's in-depth financial assessments, analyses, and guidance is brought to companies across several industries, including construction, marketing, health and wellness, and education. She also loves to host workshops focused on increasing small business owners' financial literacy and understanding of the fiscal health of their own businesses and firms.
Amy is an avid crocheter, pianist, aviation enthusiast, and volunteer. She serves as the treasurer for not one, but two non-profit organizations, NAWBO Phoenix and Parent Student Prison Initiative. She also volunteers her time to mentor other entrepreneurs through SCORE, fulfilling her innate desire to help others, especially when it involves numbers.
